WEEK 8 : DESIGN BLOCK DIAGRAM

OBJECTIVE :

  • Design block diagram for my project
  • To study and know the main component for this project

METHOD :
  • Do some research every component that i use in this project
  • Find a suitable component

RESULT:

  • For input,Solar panels, also known as modules, contain photovoltaic cells made from silicon that transform incoming sunlight into electricity rather than heat.
  • Then it flows to a charging circuit  to control that will also do over charge, deep discharge and under voltage protection of the battery.
  • Battery that i use in this project is Lithium Ion battery to store and as a backup energy from sunlight through solar panel
  • Digital meter will display output of current and voltage
  • Arduino Uno R3 is a microcontroller board. It has 20 digital input/output pins.Programs for GPS tracker can be loaded on to it from the easy-to-use Arduino computer program.
  • The ESP8266 WiFi Module is a self contained SOC with integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can give any microcontroller access to your WiFi network.
  • To detect the hikers location, i choose GPS TRACKING MODULE NEO6MV2 to detect their location
  • Lastly the output will display into a Blynk Software in the user's phone

ANALYSIS :
  • From the result, i can know the selection of components to be used in my project later
  • Each component has its own functionality
CONCLUSION :
  • From this block diagram, i can know the flow of my project and component will used
  • I also know each function of component

WEEK 7 : SET UP OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVE :

  • To set up objectives for my project
  • To study and know what a main objectives in this project

METHOD :
  • Do some research (Internet)
  • Ask supervisor

RESULT:

Objectives of This Project
    1. To monitor the performance of solar backpack system using Internet of Things (IOT).
    2. To provide emergency supply using solar.
    3. To develop GPS tracker system to detect hikers location.
ANALYSIS :
  • Solar is the main compenent that i use for this project. There are many advantages when we use solar as electronic charges
  • GPS tracker was created to avoid hikers being lost in the forest and they also have problem to detect their location

CONCLUSION :
  • From this objectives, i can know what are the main objectives in my project
  • In this objectives, people can know function of my project

WEEK 6 : DO BENCHMARKS

OBJECTIVE :
  • Compares the project with previous project or similar
  • Check performance metrics of project and best practices from other researches

METHOD :
  • Find three previous journal that related  to my project
  • compare the journal with my project
  • list the process, advantages and disadvantages of previous journal
RESULT:
  • First journal "SOLAR POWERED CHARGING BACKPACK"
  • Second journal "MULTIPURPOSE SMART BAG"
  • Third journal " SMART BAG USING SOLAR AND RFID TECHNOLOGY"

ANALYSIS :

  • The purpose of bench marking studies is to determine the general conditions surrounding the transactions conducted by third parties on a given market. Such studies help elicit a range of values

CONCLUSION :
  • Benchmark allows me track my mistakes in progress of report in introduction, literature review and methodology

WEEK 5 : PROBLEM STATEMENT

OBJECTIVE :

  • To find a problem statement for hikers in Malaysia
  • To study and know what a main problem for hikers

METHOD :
  • Do some research (Internet)
  • Ask other friends who loves hiking and join hiking activities

RESULT:

Problem Statement for hikers in Malaysia
  • Hikers have the problem with the power to charge the smartphone, especially when do a several days of hiking
  • Power banks that they carry are not enough to charge their phones or some electronic devices
  • They also face the possibility of being lost in the forest and they also have problem to detect their location
  • Their GPS does not detect their location correctly

ANALYSIS :
  • Based on the problem, hikers need a electricity and used spare batteries or solar chargers to keep them running
  • They also need a GPS tracker to detect their location. They also must know longitude/latitude that location

CONCLUSION :
  • From this problem statements, we knows that hikers face many possibility.
  • Before we want create some project, we must know the problems that always occur among hikers in Malaysia
  • This project was created to solve the problem

WEEK 17 : SUBMIT FULL REPORT FINAL YEAR PROJECT 2

OBJECTIVE : To finalize the full report of project To submitted all report and journal to supervisor To check out the format and Turniti...
